One of our most popular treatments here at Little Luxury is CND Shellac manicures and pedicures!
Everybody wants the perfect looking manicure or pedicure and we all want it to last for as long as possible! So, what can you do to ensure you get the most out of your CND shellac?
AFTER CARE!!! As much as it is all about our application as nail technicians, there is only so much we can do to treat your nails whilst your in the salon… The rest is then up to you!
Firstly… if your going to be washing up, cleaning up, doing some DIY or gardening- PUT YOUR GLOVES ON!! Chemicals can break down your CND Shellac and cause damage to your CND Shellac coating.
Secondly… APPLY YOUR CND SOLAR OIL!! Using solar oil twice a day (especially before going to bed) will replace any lost moisture to your skin and nails. Solar Oil penetrates through the Shellac coating and can also help strengthen our natural nails. Solar Oil can be bought from the salon at your manicure or pedicure appointment for as little as £3.95! We tell all our customers to keep your Solar Oil next to the bed, on the coffee table, in the car for when your stuck in traffic or in your handbag – somewhere that you will see if regular and be reminded to apply it!!
Thirdly… LEAVE THE PROFESSIONALS TO REMOVE YOUR CND SHELLAC! Incorrect removal of your Shellac coating can cause damage to your natural nails. Your CND Shellac manicure or pedicure treatment includes a FREE soak off when applied by us after two weeks of wear! NEVER pick or pull your shellac coating off- this will cause damage to your natural nails. If you do notice any problems or chips contact the salon as soon as possible to arrange an appointment to have this repaired. Your Shellac will need fortnightly or three-weekly maintenance, at this point you can arrange to have your CND Shellac re- applied or soaked off.
If you are going on holiday… please be careful when using sun tan oils or insect repellents solutions as many of these products contain solvent oils which will cause major damage to the Shellac colour coating. Some of the more delicate Shellac colours can fade if in chlorinated water followed by excessive sun- chlorine is a bleach and the sun intensifies the bleaching action! Dry your hands and nails after swimming and before sunbathing to minimize any colour fade.
Following this simple and easy after care will ensure you get the best out of your CND Shellac manicure or pedicure!
