What is it that puts you off visiting a new salon or walking in for that first appointment?
Have you visited salons and left uncomfortable, watched people/ therapists gossip or talk about other customers?
I’ve lost track of how many people we speak to on a weekly basis that comment on how welcoming and friendly our team are… shouldn’t that be expected in a salon?! Don’t get me wrong, we love hearing this! But, its shocking how many people say it in such a surprised tone!
It shocks us how many customers comment that they haven’t felt welcome or felt nervous and uneasy visiting other salons in the past.
As therapists, we are not here just to do a treatment. We are here to make you feel comfortable, welcome and we are someone to talk to in confidence. We are not judging you when your on our beauty beds for a massage or a wax, we are not laughing at you for asking “stupid questions” (no question is too stupid, click here to read our blog on questions!) you have to ask and we are not laughing at you for not understanding a particular treatment is or how it works.
We are not here to judge you at all, who has the right to judge anyone anyway?! We are here to make you feel confident, to be someone that you can trust in asking for advice and we are here to create a relationship with you!
We love nothing more than to hear our customers baby news, to hear you’ve got engaged or met someone new, to find out you’ve booked that dream holiday or that you got the job you were hoping for! But we are also here to a shoulder to cry on, to listen to you get things off your chest or tell us about something that has been stressing you out recently.
Everyone treats their time in the salon differently. Some use it as time to catch up on business/work calls whilst their sat down and have no distractions, some come and want to chat for the whole visit, some want to switch off and have a bit of quiet time and don’t really want the chit chat. Whatever you use your salon time for- that’s ok with us! Want to chat to us, tell us your news and catch up, lovely! Don’t really want to chat, just want some quiet time but feel you should probably talk? We wont be offended- it gives us a little rest too 😉
We are not here to judge you, your therapist will not be judging you and we have complete respect for you!
So, if you’ve been looking to visit for the first time but felt nervous about walking in or ringing up for the first time- don’t be! Our super friendly team is here and waiting & I guarantee you will feel comfortable and welcome within minutes of walking in!
We hope to see you soon & in the mean time, if you do have any questions (remember, no question is too stupid!) Just get in touch!
Kayleigh & The LL Team.
